Congressman Kim Holds Town Hall

MOORESTOWN, NJ – Yesterday, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) held his monthly town hall to provide an update on current events, discuss his recent work in both New Jersey and Washington, and hear from residents of Burlington and Ocean Counties about their goals and concerns as we head further into 2022.

“Hosting my monthly town halls is one of my favorite parts of this job because they give me the chance to engage with my neighbors across Burlington and Ocean Counties and learn how I can better represent them in Washington,” said Congressman Kim. “During this town hall, I was grateful to have some great conversations and discuss some of what I’m working on as well. Thank you to everyone who called in and for allowing me to serve as your representative”

During the town hall, Congressman Kim discussed the current COVID-19 rates in New Jersey, passing the America Creating Opportunities for Manufacturing Pre-Eminence in Technology and Economic Strength (COMPETES) Act of 2022.

He also spoke about his newest two pieces of legislation, the Protecting Americans from Unsafe Drugs Act, which would protect consumers and small businesses by giving the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) the authority it needs to do a mandatory recall, and his forthcoming bill, the Restoring Trust in Public Servants Act, which would set a single standard across government prohibit stock ownership for Members of Congress, their spouses and dependent children, and all congressional staff; the President, Vice President, all political appointees, and senior executive branch employees already required to file under the STOCK Act; and federal judges.
