Congressman Kim Teams Up with Local Schools and Scouts to Deliver Valentines to Veterans

MOORESTOWN, NJ – Today, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03)’s staff joined the Burlington County Institute of Technology, the City of Burlington School District, Jersey Shore Council Boy Scouts, Brick School District and the Toms River School District to deliver hand-made Valentine’s Day cards to veterans. This effort was part of the annual “Salute a Veteran Patient Week” to thank New Jersey veterans for their service and remind them of their special place in our communities and our hearts.

“America’s veterans have sacrificed so much for our nation and our freedoms. We owe it to them to continue expressing just how grateful we are for their service,” Congressman Kim. “Delivering Valentine’s, while it may be a simple act, can bring so much joy to those who need it most. I am happy and inspired to see so many students from Burlington and Ocean Counties coming together to thank our veterans. I so appreciate our local schools and Boy Scouts for their leadership on this heart-felt and often heart-shaped project.”

Congressman Kim’s staff picked up hand-made valentines from schools across Burlington and Ocean Counties and worked with local veterans organizations to deliver the valentines to our veterans.

Congressman Kim is a member of the House Armed Services Committee, the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the House Committee on Small Business. More information about Congressman Kim can be found on his website by clicking here
