Congressman Kim Votes to Stand Up Against Discriminatory Ban,
For Improved Military Readiness

 

WASHINGTON, DC – The following is a statement from Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) on the passage of H.Res. 124:

 

“This administration’s ban on transgender servicemembers is counter to our values of equality, and directly and negatively impacts our country’s military readiness. We should honor all those who step up and answer the call to serve, regardless of who they are or how they identify.”

 

Congressman Kim is a member of the House Armed Services Committee, where he sits on the Subcommittee on Readiness and the Subcommittee on Intelligence, Emerging Threats and Capabilities.
