CONGRESSMAN PAYNE’S ENDORSEMENT OF PAMELA THOMAS-FIELDS FOR MAYOR
ATLANTIC CITY

Congressman Donald Payne Jr. of New Jersey’s 10th District has endorsed Pamela Thomas-Fields for mayor of Atlantic City. “Pamela is the healing force that Atlantic City needs right now,” the Congressman said of his endorsement. “She knows the value of inclusivity in her leadership and will work tirelessly to make sure all voices are heard. I am proud to endorse her candidacy for mayor and stand by her dedication to improving the lives of all that call Atlantic City home.”

“This election is critical to securing a better future for residents and the millions of others that choose to visit Atlantic City each year,” Congressman Payne continued. “The challenges the city faces, whether economic or existential, must be met with thoughtfulness and compassion. Pamela is more than ready to rise to this occasional, and brings her bold leadership and decades of professional experience to the task.”

Congressman Payne has served the 10th District since 2012, was previously president of the Newark city council, and also served three terms on the Essex County Board of Freeholders.

“Congressman Payne is a dear and respected friend of mine,” Thomas-Fields said in response. “I have watched him serve his community well and truly appreciate his support in this race. His dedication to working families and public health has been so important to the quality of life for the residents of his district, and continues to inspire me to this day.”
