WASHINGTON D.C. – Today, Congressman Rob Menendez marked his 100th day in office serving the residents of New Jersey’s Eighth Congressional District. Since taking office, Congressman Menendez has focused on delivering constituent services while tackling the critical issues of the day: affordability for working families, access to reproductive health services, and common-sense gun reforms.
“I am honored to mark 100 days of having had the privilege to serve New Jersey’s Eighth Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives,” said Congressman Rob Menendez. “Since Day One, we have been working for the families of our District, providing the best possible constituent services to our residents and supporting Democratic priorities that will improve the lives of working families. The work has only just begun and I look forward to continuing to advocate for our District and residents each and every day.”

Congressman Menendez has introduced two bills – his first establishing a national task force bringing together federal agencies to expand opportunities and improve the standard of living for working families. He has cosponsored 30 bills that would improve affordability for working and middle-class families, protect and expand access to reproductive health services, and put in place common-sense gun safety reforms to keep our communities safe.
Congressman Menendez has taken 180 votes on behalf of the Eighth Congressional District with his first vote against legislation that would make it harder for women to get reproductive healthcare services, joined 15 caucuses that reflect the diversity of the District, and has met with a breadth of community groups advocating for important issues in our cities and towns.
Congressman Menendez has also attended four official trips, the first trip being to the Southern Border. He also had the honor of joining Assistant Democratic Leader James Clyburn and other colleagues for the Faith and Politics Institute’s 2023 Civil Rights Pilgrimage in Selma, Birmingham, and Montgomery, Alabama.
On his two committees – the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee – and the House Committee on Homeland Security – Congressman Menendez has achieved a 100% attendance record. He has advocated for our infrastructure investment needs including the Gateway Project, the largest critical infrastructure project in the nation, with key components in the District, and for real, comprehensive solutions for immigration reform.
With his first 100 days completed, Congressman Menendez and his team will continue to focus on working for the residents of the Eighth Congressional District and providing them with the representation that they deserve at the nation’s Capitol.
