Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Subcommittee Members met with International Stakeholders and Partners to Discuss Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Matters
WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Friday, Congressman Rob Menendez returned from a Congressional Delegation (CODEL) to the Netherlands, Estonia, and the United Kingdom, organized by the House Committee on Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Subcommittee, on which Rep. Menendez serves. The bipartisan trip focused on the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) work to strengthen cooperation with international partners and defend the U.S. against potential threats and risks. CISA is the operational lead for the federal government’s cybersecurity infrastructure and resilience.
“In the current evolving threat landscape, it was important to participate in this bipartisan delegation to evaluate and strengthen CISA’s work to protect the United States by collaborating with our partners in Europe,” said Congressman Rob Menendez. “This trip was an opportunity to meet with officials in the Netherlands, Estonia, and the United Kingdom to support and expand our international cybersecurity cooperation. I look forward to continuing our work on the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Subcommittee to keep our critical infrastructure and the American people safe.”
Upon arrival in the Netherlands, Rep. Menendez and the delegation met with high-level officials including U.S. Ambassador Shefali Razdan Duggal, members of the Dutch Parliament, and security experts from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On the final leg of the trip, Rep. Menendez and the delegation visited the United States Embassy in the U.K. in London and met with CISA’s U.K. attaché. The delegation also met with leading private sector cybersecurity firms before concluding the trip.
