Congressman Sires Appointed to the House Committee on the Budget for the 117th Congress 

(Washington, D.C.) – On January 27, 2021, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announced that Congressman Albio Sires (D-NJ) would serve on the House Committee on the Budget for the 117^th Congress. He will continue to serve on the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure.

Sires. “Last Congress, the Budget Committee looked at numerous important issues that impact millions of Americans and the federal budget, including immigration, poverty, climate change, and heath care systems. The Budget Committee will ave an important role to play as we work with the Biden administration to effectively respond to the pandemic and its economic impacts. I am eager to get to work to enact real change for my constituents and meet the needs of families across the country in this challenging time.”
