Congresswoman Pou Blasts Destructive Trump Tariffs

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Nellie Pou (D-NJ-09) tonight hammered the 25 percent tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump on Canada and Mexico.

“These tariffs, created by Donald Trump and supported by House Republicans, are a grave mistake,” said Congresswoman Pou. “They will inflict enormous damage onto regular Americans and are a sign of grievous disrespect to America’s closest allies. With the Canadian and Mexican governments tonight promising strong retaliatory responses, these Republican tariffs will raise the cost of living and could shatter our entire economy.
