Congresswoman Pou Celebrates Release of First Hostages Held by Hamas
WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Nellie Pou (D-NJ-09) today reacted to the first release of hostages by Hamas terrorists.
“Today, we’re finally seeing Romi Gonen, Emily Damari, and Doron Steinbrecher return to safety after enduring months of fear and cruelty at the hands of Hamas terrorists. Their strength through it all is nothing short of remarkable,” said Congresswoman Pou.
“This release today provides a huge relief for their families and everyone who’s been praying for their safe return. And it’s also a reminder of the work ahead in the hostage and ceasefire deal. We must keep pushing until every single remaining hostage is reunited with their loved ones, humanitarian aid is surged into Gaza and we find a way to bring lasting peace to everyone affected by this violence.”
