Hackensack, NJ — Conservative leaders from North Jersey have announced their support for conservative Republican Steve Lonegan in his campaign for Congress in New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District.

Endorsing Lonegan today were Mrs. Ann Kievit, President of the Northwest New Jersey Taxpayers’ Association; Rev. Greg Quinlan, President of the Center for Garden State Families, on behalf of New Jersey for a Conservative Majority; and Alexander Roubian, President of the New Jersey Second Amendment Society (NJ2AS).

Nothing encompasses this issue more than the tragic story of Carol Bowne, the 5’ tall, 90lb South Jersey woman who was murdered by her 6’4” tall, 260lb violent ex-boyfriend while she waiting for a permission slip from the NJ government to protect herself. If Carol lived in any other state she would be alive today. As a member of Congress, Steve Lonegan will seek to bring New Jersey into line with the rest of the country in regards to its respect for the Second Amendment and he will stand for a woman’s right to self-defense,” said Alexander Roubian, President of the New Jersey Second Amendment Society (NJ2AS):

Lonegan has already been endorsed by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) and Bergen County State Senator Gerry Cardinale.
