Constituents of NJ’s 4th and 6th Congressional Districts Organize
July 14 Joint Town Hall Featuring Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr.

ASBURY PARK, NJ – Constituents from New Jersey’s 4th Congressional District have planned
a collaborative event with Representative Frank Pallone, Jr., of the 6th District. The event is titled
The People’s Town Hall and will be held on Friday, July 14 from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Asbury Park
Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). The event has been organized by local constituents seeking a
forum to ask questions about the current administration in Washington and pending legislative
matters.
The primary organizer of the event, Jennifer Fluharty, said, “We are grateful that
Congressman Pallone has accepted our invitation to field questions at the People’s Town Hall.
My fellow volunteers and I are organizing The People’s Town Hall so our friends and neighbors
are given an opportunity to engage in civic dialogue with a member of Congress.”
This will mark the third town hall organized by 4th District constituents this year.
Previous events were held on February 22nd and April 19th. In spite of repeated invitations,
neither was attended by Chris Smith, the district’s Congressional representative.
“I thank Congressman Pallone for being a steady source of guidance and reassurance
during a time when New Jerseyans have needed effective representation more than ever,” said
Maggie McBride, a volunteer organizer and Smith constituent. “We appreciate that while some
representatives seem to abandon their responsibilities to engage with constituents, Congressman
Pallone is willing to speak with us.”

The Asbury Park Veterans of Foreign Wars is located at 701 Lake Avenue, Asbury Park,
NJ 07712. Those interested in registering for the event can do so at
peoplestownhall.eventbrite.com or email the organizers at peoplestownhall@gmail.com for more
information.
