CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY NEWS: New Jersey’s Union Construction Industry Awards more than $1 Million in Scholarships to Future Leaders
EDISON, NJ – Between academic excellence, sports, volunteer work, school theatre, religious services and more, it is a wonder the 351 students awarded $1,238,640 to put toward their education even had time to submit their college applications. New Jersey’s Union Construction Industry has once again awarded over $1 million to hard-working students, a testament to the industry’s belief in New Jersey’s future leaders.
The scholarships come from trade associations whose members are the construction companies that hire union craftworkers – and from the unions themselves. “It is an honor to be a part of an industry that gives so much,” stated Jack Kocsis, CEO of Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey. “Each year the students seem to get more and more impressive.
