Corrado Partners with Totowa Mayor & Council to Host Community Blood Drive

Senator Kristin Corrado has teamed up again with the mayor and council of Totowa to host a community blood drive on February 3. They said the event is necessary to help alleviate a severe blood shortage that has occurred due to the pandemic.

“There’s a national blood shortage that is impacting the ability of New Jersey hospitals to deliver the highest quality of care to every patient,” said Corrado (R-40). “Fewer people have been donating blood due to the pandemic, leading to critical shortages that have forced doctors and medical facilities to make tough decisions about who should get transfusions. Blood donations are urgently needed.”

The blood drive will take place on Thursday, February 3 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Barnyard & Carriage House, 754 Totowa Rd., Totowa, NJ 07512.

Appointments are strongly recommended and can be scheduled here.

“Please schedule a blood donation if you are able,” added Corrado. “Your generosity can help save a life.”
