Council Candidate Jude Ezeh’s request in response to the COVID-19 reporting in New Milford
PRESS RELEASE
April 14, 2020
On behalf of myself and every New Milford residents, I wish to thank the New Milford Office of the Mayor, and the entire New Milford Public Safety Departments for a great job well done in alerting and updating us all of the total number of positive COVID-19 cases of residents in our town.
While I applaud their selfless effort in keeping every residents informed, I strongly suggest and highly request that the numbers of the recovered positive cases of COVID-19 in New Milford be reported too as well, as this is not in violation of the offices of the New Jersey State Attorney General and New Jersey Commissioner of the Department of Health. Moreso, reporting the number of the recovered positive cases of COVID-19 in New Milford will help all residents see how far we have come as a community in our collective effort of doing our part in keeping each other safe, and in our practices of social distancing and good hand hygiene. Such report will help us see how much we have left to go towards flattening the curve in our own town of New Milford.
Once again, I thank the New Milford Office of the Mayor, and the entire Public Safety Departments for their continued efforts towards keeping us all safe.
Jude is the former Political Director for the entire College Democrats in the state of New Jersey, and he is a Graduate School Student at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU).
