Latino Community

Mayoral Candidate Bill McKoy Receives the Endorsement of Former Councilman Juan
Torres, Community Leader Oswaldo Aguirre and Robert Toledo.

Paterson – February 28, 2018: Paterson’s Longest Serving Councilman and Mayoral
Candidate Bill McKoy received the endorsement of three (3) influential leaders in
Paterson’s Latino Community Sunday February 25, 2018 at a breakfast amongst an
energetic group of supporters.

Former Councilman Juan Torres stated, “For eight (8) years I had the pleasure of working
along side Councilman Bill McKoy. I can assure you he is a man of integrity, honesty and
of good character. We the people of Paterson cannot and will not find anyone more
fitting and able to lead Paterson forward during these challenging times. He is a problem
solver, with a strong voice of reason, common sense and the know how that can give
this great city the ray of hope we need and deserve. I stand with Bill McKoy as our next
Mayor – We need sound experience and proven leadership to make Paterson successful
once again!

Robert Toledo stated, “We need a mayor that has the experience to do the job and doesn’t
need on the job training. As a resident of the 3rd ward I see first hand the positive mark
that Councilman McKoy has made on our city by revamping the Route 20 Corridor and
bringing in new businesses like Home Depot.”

Community Leader Oswaldo Aguirre stated “Bill McKoy has my full support for Mayor
because we need a leader that not only talks about the issues that face our city but comes
with solutions to these problems. Bill McKoy will be the Mayor for our whole city and
not just for one ethnicity or religion.”

In response to the endorsements Mayoral Candidate Bill McKoy stated: “Standing up
here with this great group of leaders and friends I know we will Move Paterson Forward.
Getting our city back on track is not a job for one person to do but it takes all of us
working together to move forward. Everyday our country is becoming more divisive but
we as a city must do the opposite and unite and work together.”
