Councilman Ken Morris, Jr. Endorses Bill McKoy for Mayor

First Major Endorsement sets a tone for Paterson Mayoral Campaign

Paterson – January 2, 2018: Paterson Councilman Ken Morris, Jr. endorses Councilman
Bill McKoy for Mayor of the City of Paterson. As Paterson’s longest serving
Councilman, McKoy brings to the Mayoral race a long track record of fighting and
winning for the people of Paterson.

In a speech this past month Councilman Morris said, “ This election is critically
important because our city is on a continual down spiral and we need someone to lift it up
and we need a leader as mayor that actually knows what they are doing. Other candidates
in this race will take credit for a lot of things others have done, we don’t need pretenders,
there is way too much at stake this election.”

Councilman Morris continued: “Let’s not continue to practice the old norms they haven’t
gotten us anywhere. We need to think about our children’s future. We need someone in
the Mayor’s office that cares about our city, someone who is a family man and someone
who can do the job based on a thorough knowledge of how government works, someone
who is willing to make the difficult decisions in order to move this city forward. There is
a renewed interest in this city by those who will seek to take advantage of unproven
leaders, we need to get behind Bill McKoy’s no nonsense approach, sound experience
and proven leadership that will move our city forward. I am proud and willing to stand
next to Bill in any venue and say he is my candidate for mayor not because of his name,
not because of his ethnicity, but because of his integrity and ability to do the job.”

In response to Councilman Morris endorsement Mayoral Candidate Bill McKoy stated:

Councilman Ken Morris, Jr. Ken has been a leader in our community fighting to set
