Councilwoman Mira Prinz-Arey Endorses Three Education Matters Candidates

The Education Matters team is proud to announce that we have received endorsements for three of our teammates from Ward B Councilwoman Mira Prinz-Arey.  In a letter sent to Education Matters Campaign Manager Mike Greco, Councilwoman Prinz-Arey stated that she has officially endorsed Darwin Ona, Gina Verdibello and Lekendrick Shaw In the Jersey City Board of Education race. (See letter below)

For the November 5th School Board Election please consider Gina Verdibello (2E), LeKendrick Shaw (3E), and Darwin Ona (7D), three candidates from Ward B that have a strong track record in public service to their community.

I have been a friend and supporter of Gina Verdibello since her first run for Board of Education and I can attest to her unwavering commitment to the children of Jersey City. She has proven herself to be a strong advocate for our young people, from working to improve school lunches to implementing a pilot program to re-institute cursive writing classes in our schools.

LeKendrick Shaw is a product of the Jersey City Public School system and young entrepreneur. I have seen his commitment to young students by sharing his experiences and showing them what is possible.

I have had the opportunity to work with Darwin Ona in the community and am confident he will bring a fresh perspective to the Board of Education.

I believe Gina Verdibello, LeKendrick Shaw and Darwin Ona  will work hard to ensure equity and quality in the education of all our children, and will advocate for students, parents and staff of the Jersey City Public Schools.

Mira Prinz-Arey
