CRAIG GUY ENDORSES JIM MCGREEVEY FOR MAYOR
Hudson County Executive-Elect endorsement comes on the heels of McGreevey’s entry into the 2025 Jersey City Mayoral race.
JERSEY CITY – Today, Hudson County Executive-Elect Craig Guy endorsed Jim McGreevey for Mayor of Jersey City.
“Jersey City needs a Mayor who has the experience, vision, and passion to make Jersey City a more affordable, safe, and efficient city. I know Jim will put working families first and will fight for the city to remain a place that all can call home,” said Craig Guy, Hudson County Executive-Elect.
County Executive-Elect Guy’s endorsement comes on the heels of Jim McGreevey’s entry into the 2025 Jersey City Mayoral race. The Governor made his announcement official last Thursday, November 8th with a video entitled Second Chances and held a campaign kickoff rally at El Sabor, a compelling and inspirational symbol of the power of second chances.
“I am honored to receive Craig Guy’s endorsement and am eager to get to work with him to build a Jersey City where working families can stay and succeed. Craig understands the importance of affordability and safety in our city, and my administration will work in partnership with the County to improve Jersey City for all working families,” said Jim McGreevey.
Jim is a native son of Jersey City who served as the 52nd governor of New Jersey. During his administration, Jim boosted money for schools, expanded health care, rallied for smart gun laws, balanced the state’s books in the face of a huge deficit, fought for tax fairness, established a smoking ban in the state, and passed landmark car insurance reform. Jim resigned in the wake of scandal, taking full accountability for his actions and coming out publicly as a proud Gay American.
Jim McGreevey is running for mayor of Jersey City to bring the change needed to build stronger communities and make the city a better place for the people of the city. Jim will deliver greater accountability and reliable services; clean, safe streets and smoother traffic flows; tax fairness and property tax relief; greater affordability across the city; apprenticeship programs to provide opportunity for high school kids; and criminal justice reform that provides second chances that strengthen our communities.
