Currie statement regarding county party endorsements for President

New Jersey Democratic State Committee Chairman John Currie is releasing the following statement regarding county party endorsements for President:

“I believe that Senator Menendez’s idea to hold a statewide open presidential primary has merit. An open primary would allow all New Jersey Democrats to support the presidential candidate of their choice without causing unnecessary divisiveness that could carry over after the primary, and we must do whatever we can to ensure Democratic unity as we work to defeat President Trump. As the Chairman of the Passaic County Democrats I plan to discuss this with fellow Passaic county leaders and I would support and encourage any other county Democratic party that decides to take similar action.”
