| TRENTON, N.J. – Recent events have many New Jerseysans confused on what are the best and safest way to demonstrate or protest. Assemblyman Ron Dancer is calling on New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal to launch a campaign to make sure everyone knows the safest way to conduct a protest.
Dancer introduced a bill that would require the New Jersey Attorney General to establish a campaign to create awareness of the safest way to engage in different forms of public assembly such as protest and demonstration.
“The right to protest is engrained in the fabric of the American culture though it needs to be done in safe way” stated Dancer (R-Ocean). “By having a statewide-public-awareness campaign, we will ensure New Jerseysans are able to express themselves during protest in a safest manner possible.” |
