David Richter Added to the NRCC’s Young Guns Program

TOMS RIVER, NJ – April 27, 2020 – The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) announced today that David Richter is among 17 candidates nationwide that have been added to its Young Guns Program.  Richter is a Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in New Jersey’s Third District which include Burlington and Ocean counties.

The NRCC’s Young Guns program mentors and supports candidates in races across the country and works to provide them with the necessary tools to run successful, winning campaigns against their Democratic opponents.  The program requires candidates to work towards specific goals and meet benchmarks throughout the election cycle to ensure their campaigns remain competitive, well-funded and communicative within their districts.

“These candidates are instrumental in helping Republicans reclaim the House majority,” said House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy. “With their continued hard work and dedication Republicans will be one step closer to sending the socialist Democrats packing in November.”

Richter added, “I’m honored to have been recognized by the NRCC and Leader McCarthy as being one of the most competitive Republican candidates nationwide.  New Jersey’s Third District is one of the top targets for Republicans seeking to regain control of the House this year and I look forward to helping to make that happen.”

Richter is the former CEO of global construction management firm Hill International.  During his time at the company, Hill grew from a struggling family business with less than 300 employees into a successful public company with more than 4,300 employees.  A lifelong Republican, Richter grew up in and has spent most of his life living and working in the Third District.  He earned two bachelor’s degrees and a law degree from Penn as well as master’s degrees from Oxford and Harvard.  Richter and his wife Michelle, who have been married for 20 years, are the parents of four daughters.
