David Richter Secures More Support from Burlington County Republicans

Tabernacle, NJ – March 16, 2020 – Former candidate for Congress and former Tabernacle Committeeman Justin Murphy, Tabernacle Committeewoman Nancy McGinnis and former Tabernacle Mayor Jack McGinnis today announced their endorsements of David Richter for Congress in New Jersey’s Third Congressional District.

“As a former candidate for Congress I have experienced firsthand the rigorous commitment of both time and resources that is required to run for Congress,” said Murphy.  “David is the only candidate in the race who will be able to run a successful campaign to defeat Andy Kim.  Additionally, after recent news has come out that the re-fueling tankers at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst are once again being targeted for retirement we need a candidate who will fight to support the Joint Base.  As a Navy veteran, I know it’s time we had a Congressman who will fight for our military and our veterans.”

Former Mayor McGinnis added, “As owners of a small business, Nancy and I know first-hand what it takes to create jobs here in our community.  David gets it.  We have too many career politicians in Washington who have never had to meet payroll or meet an actual budget.  We are proud to endorse David because he is a political outsider and someone we can trust to fight for the small businesses that are the backbone of communities throughout the district.”

Richter is the former CEO of global construction management firm Hill International.  During his time at the company, Hill grew from a struggling family business with less than 300 employees into a successful public company with more than 4,300 employees.  A lifelong Republican, Richter grew up in and has spent most of his life living and working in the Third District.  He earned two bachelor’s degrees and a law degree from Penn as well as master’s degrees from Oxford and Harvard.  Richter and his wife Michelle, who have been married for 20 years, are the parents of four daughters.
