De Gregorio Slams Gottheimer’s “Affordability” Charade

FAIR LAWN – Today, Nick De Gregorio, a Marine veteran and Republican Candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District, released the following statement in response to Josh Gottheimer’s so-called “Affordable Agenda for New Jersey”:

“Set aside how insulting it is to one’s intelligence that Josh Gottheimer, who has been in office for nearly five years, is all of a sudden rolling out a plan to make New Jersey more affordable – where have you been, Josh?” asked De Gregorio. “But what’s worse is that Gottheimer’s endorsement and then vote for tax-and-spend Phil Murphy last month clearly made New Jersey less affordable. It was, Murphy, after all, who consistently raised our taxes, is preparing to jack up the cost of our tolls again in the New Year, and who still refuses to release the cost of his Energy Master Plan.”

He continued: “If that weren’t enough, though, Josh just voted to support Joe Biden’s massive socialist spending bill that will raise taxes on New Jersey families and job-creators, while worsening inflation at the grocery store and gas pump. Josh’s announcement today was nothing more than a flimsy charade meant to distract away from the fact that when forced to make a choice, he will choose liberals like Phil Murphy and Nancy Pelosi – and not families in the Fifth District – every single time.”
