DeAngelo-led Building Trades Council Endorses Perez
Trenton, NJ…The Mercer County Building and Construction Trades Council (MCB&CTC), led by its president and 14th Legislative District Democratic Assemblyman Wayne DeAngelo, has officially endorsed the candidacy of Trenton Mayoral candidate Paul Perez.
In making the endorsement, president DeAngelo said his membership wholeheartedly supports the Perez vision for future development of Trenton. The Mercer County Building and Construction Trades Council, the local affiliate of the New Jersey Building and Construction Trades Council, represents more than a dozen local trade unions.
“I am proud that the most respected organization of local boilermakers, bricklayers, carpenters, electricians, elevator constructors, finishing trades, insulators, iron workers, laborers, operative plasterers and cement masons, operating engineers, pipe trades, roofers, sheet metal workers, painters, allied trades and Teamsters truly understand our plans to rebuild Trenton into a metropolitan center of excellence.” Perez said.
“What makes this support exciting is the prospect of building a partnership with MCB&CTC’s superb apprenticeship and training programs that will help Trenton youth gain meaningful skills necessary to participate in rebuilding the City where they live,” he added.
The Mercer County Building and Construction Trades Council backing for Perez comes on the heels of a growing number of recent endorsements from Ray Pocino the NJ State Laborers’ PAC and the Michael K. Maloney-led United Association of Plumbers & Pipefitters.
