Stephanie Schmid for Congress
Democratic leaders in Monmouth County are proudly endorsing Stephanie Schmid to be the 2020 Democratic nominee for Congress in New Jersey’s 4th District. Those supporting Stephanie include: Angela Ahbez-Anderson, Asbury Park Municipal Vice Chair; Josh Hodes, Sea Girt Municipal Chair; Mike Mangan, Manasquan Municipal Chair; Rumson Democratic Committee; and Steve Clayton, Monmouth County Democratic Committeeman.
“The reason I have decided to support Stephanie Schmid is simple: she has the talent, knowledge, and global experience to hit the ground running on day one as the next Congresswoman in CD-4,” said Angela Ahbez-Anderson. “I’m confident that she will tackle the real-world issues facing our community members.”
Stephanie accepted these endorsements with gratitude. “I am grateful to have support from Democratic leaders throughout Monmouth, Ocean, and Mercer Counties.” Stephanie said. “I look forward to working together to engage voters from every corner of NJ-04 and finally bring new leadership to our district for the first time in nearly 40 years. I am committed to having a constant presence in our district with regularly scheduled Town Halls and responsive constituent services, and fighting for our families and our future in Washington.”
Stephanie is a New Jersey native, retired U.S. Foreign Service Officer and Diplomat who served her country overseas on behalf of the U.S. Department of State, as well as a human rights litigation attorney and former non-profit leader. She’s running to bring new leadership to Congress at a time when we need our leaders to solve pressing challenges and create opportunities for the people of New Jersey.
