Democrats Zwicker and Freiman Earn Sierra Club Endorsement

Candidates recognize importance of environmental protection

September 20th, 2017

Princeton – The two Democratic candidates for Assembly in New Jersey’s 16th Legislative District, Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker and Roy Freiman, have earned the support of the Sierra Club of New Jersey.

“I am so honored to receive the support of the Sierra Club of New Jersey,” said Assemblyman Zwicker. “I ran for office because I believe facts should dictate decisions on public issues, and the environment is a key example.  Climate change is real. Clean energy needs to be our future. As your Assemblyman, I will always be a strong advocate for measures that protect New Jersey’s air and water,  and push back on the threats of climate change.”

“I want to thank the Sierra Club for their endorsement,” said Freiman. “One of the greatest threats to our state is the harmful impact of climate change and dangerous industrial practices. Together with the Sierra Club, I will work hard to take needed steps to position New Jersey as a champion in renewable energy and sustainable business and industry.”

The 16th Legislative District includes the townships of Delaware, Raritan, Readington,

Branchburg, Hillsborough, Montgomery, and South Brunswick, the Princeton municipality and

the Manville, Millstone, Rocky Hill, Flemington, and Somerville boroughs.
