Denville Democratic Committee, Bob Grant endorse Rupande Mehta for LD-25 State Senate

March 6, 2020 –
The Denville Democrats are excited to announce their unanimous endorsement of Rupande Mehta for LD-25 State Senate. Former Denville Councilman Bob Grant also announces his endorsement of Mehta.

Rupande Mehta joined the Denville Democratic Committee within days of eligibility upon receiving her US Citizenship. As an immigrant, she brings a valuable voice and perspective not otherwise heard in Denville politics. We endorse her not because she is the hometown candidate, but because we genuinely believe she can win this district in 2020 and finally bring meaningful change to residents of LD-25. It is for this reason, the Denville Democratic Committee voted unanimously to endorse Rupande Mehta.

“Rupande Mehta continues to impress us with her intelligence and her desire to listen to the residents in this district. She has an ability to connect with voters we don’t often see. Rupande is dedicated and running for office out of a genuine desire to give back to the community that has welcomed her,” said Denville Municipal chair Andrea Zeydelis.

Bob Grant is a lifelong Democrat, former member of the Denville Board of Education and in 2008 was the first Democrat elected to the governing body of Denville in over 30 years. Grant also announces his endorsement of Rupande Mehta for State Senate.

“Rupande Mehta has the education, experience, and ability to navigate her way through complicated issues like school funding and affordable housing muddles and the strength to help fix the tax fraud of the EDA. She is an excellent person, full of innovative ideas, and will make us all proud that we chose her to represent us,” said Bob Grant.

Rupande has worked hard to support Democratic Candidates and to help build Democratic committees across the county and is building her campaign carefully. with attention to detail and with an understanding of the steps involved. “This is the type of thoughtful, measured approach that will help her win in November,” said Grant.
