DEVILS NAME HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS OF THE MONTH FOR DECEMBER
four seniors, four juniors and one sophomore highlight december 2023 selections
Newark, NJ – January 17, 2024 – The New Jersey Devils High School Player of the Month Program presented by RWJBarnabas Health continues this season after returning during the 2022-23 season. Players named for December 2023 are: junior forward Brent Beswick (Northern Highlands, Big North Conference); junior forward Zach Duggan (Robbinsville-Allentown, Colonial Valley Conference); senior forward Nickolas Izzo (Monroe, Greater Middlesex Conference); senior goalie James Tarabocchia (Don Bosco Prep, Gordon Conference); junior forward Maksym Pastukh (Newton-Lenape Valley, MCSSIHL); junior forward Alex Benkert (Nutley-Columbia, NJIIHL); senior goalie Molly Rowe-Smith (Summit, NJIIHL Girls Hockey); sophomore forward Cole Sturman (Lacey-Barnegat, Shore Conference); senior forward Nolan Collison (Hillsborough, Skyland Conference).
Each month, December through February, student-athletes representing high school hockey conferences from throughout the state are selected as recipients of the award. Winners are based on nominations received from members of the media who cover the state’s scholastic hockey programs. Award winners and their guests receive tickets to a Devils home game and a certificate presented by a Devils player and RWJBarnabas Health representative. This marks the 30th season that the Devils are honoring high school student-athletes.
