SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ—State Senator Patrick J. Diegnan, Jr., announced the appointment of Allen Blehl as his Chief of Staff.

“Allen is a great addition to my staff. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the legislative process, in particular, the challenges facing public transportation in New Jersey,” said Senator Diegnan (D-Middlesex). “He came highly recommended from both legislators and advocates who worked with him in Senator Gordon’s office. I look forward to his contributions, not only to my legislative office, but to the residents of our State.”

A graduate of the College of William & Mary, Mr. Blehl interned and later served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for former State Senator Bob Gordon, prior to Mr. Gordon’s appointment to the Board of Public Utilities. He is also an accomplished musician, having served as the organist and choir director at several large Roman Catholic parishes. In addition to his duties for Senator Diegnan, Mr. Blehl will be working closely with the Senate Majority Office to advance transportation-related priorities.
