DiMaso reacts to the Murphy administration’s nepotistic hiring practices

TRENTON, N.J. – Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso criticized the Schools Development Authority’s firing of 26 veteran employees and hiring of 38 new people, many of whom have personal relationships with Gov. Phil Murphy’s top staff.

“The Schools Development Authority under the Murphy Administration has had enough problems even before these nepotistic hiring practices came to light,” said DiMaso (R-Monmouth). “Hiring employees with connections but no skills is not the way to run an agency responsible for managing almost $11 billion in school facilities projects, or frankly any business. The people of New Jersey expect us to hire the best people for the job, not the people with the best connections.”
