Dover Council Member Sandra Wittner Endorses Patricia Campos-Medina for the U.S. Senate in New Jersey

Dover Council Member Sandra Wittner Endorses Patricia Campos-Medina for the U.S. Senate in New Jersey

Califon, N.J.—Today, Sandra Wittner from Dover’s First Ward announced her endorsement of  Dr. Patricia Campos-Medina for U.S. Senate. This endorsement adds to the growing list of Democratic leaders in New Jersey rallying behind Campos-Medina’s campaign. Notable endorsements also include mayor and council candidates Team Vas of Perth Amboy, among other community leaders throughout the Garden State.

Campos-Medina’s campaign continues to gain momentum as more leaders recognize her commitment to progressive, just, and inclusive policies.

During the endorsement, Wittner emphasized that Dr. Campos-Medina is the candidate who best understands how critical it is for New Jersey to have a woman with a seat at the table when decisions are being made in Washington.

“Patricia has been working tirelessly behind the scenes for years to provide Dover with the representation it deserves. If elected, she would become New Jersey’s first woman as U.S. Senator. I proudly voted for her in the Morris County Democratic Convention, and tonight, I am even prouder to publicly endorse her for the U.S. Senate,” said Council Member Sandra Wittner. “While I carry the Morris County Democratic Committee slogan on the ballot alongside many friends with pride, this election is different; this election is personal. At the end of the day, I must support the candidate who intimately understands the issues that matter most to me and has fought for them since day one. I want someone who brings the same experiences as I do to public service, someone who may not always have all the answers but is not afraid to seek them out. That person is Patricia Campos-Medina.”

“I am incredibly grateful for Sandra’s support as we continue to build our campaign from the grassroots, focusing on the issues that matter most to the people of New Jersey,” said Campos-Medina. “This campaign is about expanding opportunity and representation for everyone. I am committed to bringing more people into the fold and fighting for a better New Jersey together. Unlike other candidates, I have the experience and dedication to truly understand and address the needs of our diverse communities. We need bold, inclusive leadership, and I am ready to deliver that change.”

Campos-Medina has made her record as an advocate for working people and Latina women representation central to her campaign. At the beginning of her campaign, she announced her support for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, tying her call for peace to her harrowing experience living through civil war in El Salvador as a child. In a video announcing her campaign, Campos-Medina shares her inspiring journey as a Latina immigrant woman and as someone who intimately understands how issues like the economy and jobs, war, immigration policy, and economic community investment impact the daily lives of countless New Jerseyans and their loved ones.
