AS DRAEGER HIDES AND DELETES TWEETS, BUCCO/BERGEN CAMPAIGN INTRODUCES TWO MORE FROM BHIMANI

BOONTON, NJ – In this week’s edition of “Tweet of the Week” we uncover more pieces to the puzzle that is our opponents’ totally radical record. Two weeks ago we highlighted Lisa Bhimani calling for violence toward Republicans, and last week we highlighted Darcy Draeger implicitly comparing the President to Hitler. While this prompted no apology from Ms. Draeger, or a response of whether Ms. Bhimani agreed with her, it did apparently cause at least two tweets to disappear from Draeger’s account.

This week, we highlight the fact that as hardworking employees were losing their jobs, Bhimani and Draeger both stood outside the employees’ office and rubbed that fact in their face. This is coupled, as always, with two unhinged tweets from Bhimani showing a total lack of regard for civility with the other side.

“In the below image, both Bhimani and Draeger are shown protesting outside of former Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen’s office on his last day. They were part of a group that was allegedly ‘blocking the doorway’, ‘laughing and heckling at the company workers’, and reportedly taking selfies ‘in the lobby with their middle fingers pointing toward the building marquee.’ According to news reports, ‘a visitor looking for the office in need of government assistance, turned around and left, bewildered by the crowd’,” said Bucco campaign manager Rob Costello.

“As we’ve said previously – there’s nothing wrong with disagreeing civilly on politics and policy. But blocking access to an office that provides assistance to everyday taxpayers and kicking sand in the face of employees on their last day of work shows their total lack of compassion. It’s just mean-spirited.”

“These actions, when paired with a record of obscenityvulgarity and vitriol spewed on their social media, do make you wonder whether our opponents lack the pragmatism and bipartisan capabilities to effectively represent 25th district taxpayers.”
