East Brunswick Board of Ed Candidate Dharmesh Patel Condemns PILOT Program, Calls on Board of ED to Stand Up to Mayor, Council Majority

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

East Brunswick, NJ- East Brunswick Board of Education Candidate Dharmesh Patel released the following statement asking the Board of Education to stand up to Mayor Cohen and Council Majority as they divert money from the public schools to give to developers.

“As a rubber stamp body for the Mayor and the Majority Council members, the Board of Education continues to do nothing while our local officials divert funds from our public schools to benefit special interests. The public schools in East Brunswick are among the best in the state, but our standings are at risk if the Mayor and Council Majority continue to raid them to help fund their pet projects.

If elected, I will use my influence as a BOE member to champion education in East Brunswick and ensure our schools get necessary funding. I will also stand up to the Mayor and Council Majority when necessary to protect our students and give them the voice they deserve.”
