East Brunswick Council Candidates slam Cohen and Wendell for lack of Leadership during Budget negotiations

For Immediate Release

East Brunswick, NJ- East Brunswick Councilwoman Camille Clark and Council Candidates Curt Philipczak and Dhar Khona released the following statements criticizing Mayor Cohen and Councilman Wendell for their lack of leadership during the budget negotiations.

Councilwoman Camille Clark stated:

“While Trenton Democrats debated whether to raise taxes on East Brunswick businesses or families, Mayor Brad Cohen and Jim Wendell did and said nothing.  I never expected them to single handedly shape the budget negotiations but standing up and defending East Brunswick residents isn’t too much to ask for.  This is just the latest example of them leading from behind and unfortunately East Brunswick will have pay the price.”

Council Candidate Curt Philipczak stated:

“Mayor Cohen and Jim Wendell “TALK” about attracting new businesses and residents to East Brunswick.  East Brunswick residents are taxed enough already, and all these tax increases are driving residents out of  New Jersey.  By doing and saying nothing they must own these tax increases.”

Council Candidate Dhar Khona stated:

“These Murphy-Cohen-Wendell tax increases hurt East Brunswick businesses and families and are driving them out of the state.  Living in East Brunswick for the last 13 years, I have truly experienced the American Dream, but thanks to Governor Murphy and Mayor Cohen I’m afraid that when my children have families of their own, they won’t be able to afford to live here.”
