East Brunswick GOP Chairman Jesal Amin Calls Out Councilman Wendall for Stiffing Campaign Consultant, Subsequent Campaign Finance Violations

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

East Brunswick, NJ– East Brunswick GOP Chairman Jesal Amin released the following statement condemning Councilman Jim Wendell for failing to pay $5,200 to a campaign consultant who did direct mail for his failed 2016 mayoral campaign.

Chairman Amin Stated:

“Councilman Wendell has once again disqualified himself from holding public office in East Brunswick.  Refusing to pay a small business owner who worked tirelessly to elect him mayor affirms what is inherently true – that he is a dishonest amateur who got himself elected to benefit himself and his only constituency – high density developers.  If Councilman Wendell, cannot pay his campaign consultants how can he possibly govern East Brunswick.”

Additionally, Councilman Wendell’s mayoral campaign committed numerous campaign finance violations by failing to report the outstanding obligation to New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC) and failing to roll over the outstanding obligation to his current council campaign.

“Councilman Wendell’s glaring campaign finance violations show that he lacks the leadership qualities and attention to detail required to oversee our local government. The voters of East Brunswick have a choice this November.  I am confident the voters of East Brunswick will cast their vote for change.”
