Statement on Governor Christie’s American Dream Press Conference

“I’m heartened to see this project moving forward and construction resuming after a series of delays. On the heels of a strong employment report last month and gains of over 25,000 jobs since June, it’s encouraging to see more job growth on the horizon. This project will create hundreds more jobs for New Jersey residents in construction and retail at the facility, bring increased business activity and economic growth to the region and provide a world-class destination for shopping and entertainment in the Meadowlands. I’m enthusiastic about American Dream’s possibilities, and I thank Governor Christie for his leadership on this sensitive issue. Together, we can continue to create jobs and prosperity in the Meadowlands – and I’m pleased we’ve taken one step closer to that goal.”
