Emerge New Jersey Welcomes New Graduates from the 2021 National Training Bootcamp

Brielle, NJ — On Friday, Emerge, the nation’s premiere organization that recruits and trains
Democratic women to run for office, announced the graduation of Elizabeth Graner and Erin Howard
from their 2021 National Training Bootcamp.

These two powerful women will join Emerge New Jersey’s over 90 alumnae as they go on to transform
New Jersey both on the ballot and in public office as our future leaders and public servants.
Graner and Howard are both Democratic nominees for the New Jersey General Assembly in the 21st and
13th Districts respectively.

“We are so proud to welcome Elizabeth Graner and Erin Howard into our sisterhood,” said Geri
Jannarone, Executive Director of Emerge New Jersey. “They will join our network of alumnae in
transforming the face of New Jersey and reshaping what our elected offices and institutions look
like. We know they’re going to make incredible Assemblywomen, changemakers, and Emerge sisters. We
can’t wait to see all they’re
going to accomplish in Trenton.”

“I was truly honored to have been chosen to participate in the Emerge National Bootcamp,” said
Elizabeth Graner, Democratic nominee for New Jersey’s 21st General Assembly District. “The skills,
strategies, and knowledge I learned from key Democratic women and the connections I have made with
my Emerge sisters will not only help me during my campaign journey, but will also stay with me in
my life both in and out of public service.”

“I am so honored to have participated in the Emerge program,” said Erin Howard, Democratic nominee
for New Jersey’s 13th General Assembly District. “We need to see more women in government, and
Emerge gives women the tools and knowledge to launch a political campaign, even if they have never
previously been involved in government. This type of training is essential to encourage new,
dedicated women into public service.”

Graner and Howard join a robust sisterhood that has been fighting for the people of New Jersey
since the organization was founded in 2012. Whether it’s through the General Assembly leaders such
