Emgage Action Urges Muslim American Voters to Mobilize and Make Their Voices Heard in Upcoming Election

[Washington, D.C.] — Ahead of tomorrow’s election, Emgage Action calls on Muslim Americans to turn out at the polls and cast their votes to protect our civil rights and advance peace and justice. Emgage Action is mobilizing voters nationwide to stand against policies that threaten Muslim communities domestically and abroad, emphasizing the critical importance of collective participation in shaping the nation’s future.

“We understand the frustrations within our community, but we must face the reality: any vote that doesn’t counter Donald Trump’s agenda ultimately risks further harm to Muslim Americans and Muslims worldwide,” said Wa’el Alzayat, CEO of Emgage Action. “This is our opportunity to come together to protect our rights, push for peace, and advocate for the dignity and security of Muslims. Our future depends on the power of our collective voice.”

Emgage Action endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz, because their administration offers the most viable platform for advancing progress on issues that matter deeply to Muslim Americans. If elected, Emgage Action is committed to advocating with their administration for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, de-escalating the violence in the Middle East, and advancing Palestinian liberation.

A second Trump term threatens our anti-war goals. Trump has pledged to expand the Muslim Ban, deport pro-Palestinian activists, and align with far-right, pro-settler donors. Emgage Action warns that a Trump victory would mean the rollback of basic human rights and increased violence and occupation in Palestine.

Emgage Action also cautions against third-party voting, underscoring the impact of third-party voters in the 2016 Michigan results, where a narrow Trump victory was achieved. “This election is not the time for symbolic voting. Our collective power lies in voting for the greater good of protecting our communities,” Alzayat added.
