**Empowering Leadership: Brianna Armstead’s Remarkable Journey**

Linden Board of Education Commissioner Brianna Armstead, known for her outstanding leadership qualities, has been accepted into the esteemed New Jersey Black Women’s Collective Leadership Institute’s 2024 Cohort.

Beginning this month, Brianna will embark on a transformative four-month Leadership Institute at Mercer County Community College, joining forces with a cohort of talented black women from across the state. During this immersive program, Brianna will sharpen her skills in effective communication, strategic fundraising, executive leadership, and innovative strategic planning. The cohort will engage in enriching experiences, including a Wellness Day at Grounds for Sculpture, completing a capstone course, and culminating their journey with a celebratory Ceremonial Luncheon.

The New Jersey Black Women’s Collective (NJBWC) is committed to harnessing the power of Black Women Leaders, dedicated to preparing and propelling them to new heights. Brianna expresses her gratitude for this opportunity, stating, “I’m grateful for this opportunity and eagerly anticipate our journey together.”

Brianna’s journey to leadership excellence has been marked by significant milestones.

At the age of 26, she made history by being elected as a Member at Large to the Executive Committee of the National Haitian American Elected Officials Network (NHAEON), solidifying her role as the youngest representative for Haitian American elected officials nationwide. This remarkable achievement was announced during NHAEON’s 15th Annual Leadership Summit, held from January 26-28, 2024, in Washington, DC.

In addition to her leadership commitments, Brianna is actively running a fundraiser to support students attending the Linden High School TV/Film Production Class. The fundraiser runs from March 11th to April 8th, and contributions can be made at https://raise.snap.app/donors/linden-hs-tv-film-production-2024/13994995?share_type=clipboard&utm_source=participant&utm_medium=social&utm_module=taskmanager&utm_content=clipboard.
