Today’s Mayor & Council Special Meeting will go into an Executive session at 7:00 pm, which is not opened to the public, to discuss the following matters:

• 800 Sylvan Avenue LLC v. Borough of Englewood Cliffs, Docket No. BER-L-69-18; A-004019-17T2

The Public Portion of the meeting will begin right after the conclusion of the Executive session, which can conclude at any time. Dear Neighbors,

We hope you are all safe during this pandemic. The Democratic Council members have spent over $3.5 Million of our real estate taxes in legal fees fighting 800 Sylvan. However, it appears that they have been actively working toward, once again, another secretive settlement with Normandy according to an Order signed by Judge Farrington on June 3, 2020. Referencing court order Docket No. BER-L-2069-20

Last week the borough had a regular Mayor and Council meeting. Why is the Democratic controlled Council calling a special meeting tomorrow June 18th during the middle of summer and a Covid pandemic?

 What is so urgent?

History is repeating itself. The Democratic controlled Council is attempting to pass a settlement during the slow summer season when no one’s paying attention.

PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS BY ATTENDING AND 

HAVE YOUR VOICE HEARD IN ALL MEETINGS GOING FORWARD

Any settlement of the 800 Sylvan lawsuit will be extremely detrimental to the Town of Englewood Cliffs and all of us. We must show the Democratic Council members that they cannot sabotage our interests behind our back!
