Englewood Resident Eric Witmondt Among NJBIZ Honorees

Witmondt Recognized Alongside Three Top Executives in New Jersey

FAIRFIELD, N.J. (January 17, 2019) – Woodmont Properties’ Chief Executive Officer, Eric Witmondt, was recently honored by NJBIZ as one of the top Executives of the Year, a distinction recognizing leaders on the forefront of New Jersey who have displayed a commitment to business growth and professional excellence.

Under Witmondt’s leadership, Woodmont Properties has grown to one of New Jersey’s most active developers. Since assuming the reins at Woodmont, the company has developed over 3,000 luxury apartments, and built and sold a series of best-in-class townhome communities. On the commercial side, Woodmont has traded in excess of 5 million square feet in the past five years and arranged financing for nearly half a billion dollars since 2016. Witmondt, appointed to CEO in 1999, is responsible for the rapid expansion of Woodmont Properties’ redevelopment, infill, multifamily and industrial development.

The annual Business of the Year awards ceremony was held in early December at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset.

In addition to this award, Woodmont Properties has received more than 50 industry awards recognizing its creativity in designing best-in-class luxury homes and luxury apartment communities – a testament to the company’s commitment to excellence. In the past two years, Woodmont received 50 awards, including the coveted Smart Growth Award from New Jersey Future for Woodmont Metro at Metuchen Station. For the last seven years, Woodmont has also been honored each year with the “Community of the Year” award from industry associations.
