Essex County Commissioner Brendan Gill’s Statement on the Passing of Joe Fiordaliso, Sr.

I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Joe Fiordaliso Sr. I first met Joe on my first campaign, working for Paterson Mayor Bill Pascrell on his first run for Congress. From that first meeting on, in all of his various positions in public service, Joe always took the time to help, offer guidance and tell you a great story. He always greeted you with a smile, and my family was honored to call him ‘Uncle Joe.’ My deepest condolences go out to his family. Essex county and the state of New Jersey have lost of one its greats today.
