ESSEX COUNTY EXECUTIVE DIVINCENZO ENDORSES ASSEMBLYWOMEN ROSY BAGOLIE AND ALIXON COLLAZOS-GILL IN 27TH LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT
Essex County, NJ – Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. announced his endorsement of Assemblywomen Rosy Bagolie and Alixon Collazos-Gill in the 27th Legislative District. The County Executive is supporting Bagolie and Collazos-Gill as they seek re-election to their second term. They will appear on the June 10th Democratic Primary Ballot.
“Rosy and Alixon have demonstrated that they deserve another term representing us in Trenton. They are attentive to their constituents in the 27th District and have worked cooperatively with me and my administration to help make Essex County a vibrant and thriving place to live, work and recreate,” DiVincenzo said. “We need strong representation in Trenton, and Rosy and Alixon are the right women to do it. I encourage everyone to join me in supporting Rosy Bagolie and Alixon Collazos-Gill,” he added.
DiVincenzo noted that Bagolie has backed legislation to promote public safety, enhance public education and establish greater protection for consumers. She has introduced legislation stiffening penalties for illegal use of firearms and stalking, to reduce intimidation on social media and bullying, to give motor vehicle owners more control over the data from the vehicles, and to establish the Cancer Patient Care and Compassion Act.
The County Executive also pointed out that Collazos-Gill is promoting legislation to enhance mental health care, to ensure public school districts receive adequate State funding, provide greater access to voting and establish a revenue source to help preserve open space in the Highlands region.
District 27 includes Livingston, Millburn, Montclair, Roseland and West Orange in Essex County and Clifton in Passaic County.
