Essex County Sheriff’s Office Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive

What:

The Essex County Sheriff’s Office Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive provides meals to thousands of needy families and the homeless in the Essex County community. Essex County Sheriff Armando B. Fontoura and many Sheriff’s Officers will be delivering an abundance of holiday meals and foodstuffs in bulk to stock the shelves of many local food pantries for the coming winter months.

Why:

Many families in our community face difficult challenges during the holidays and do not have the finances available to purchase the food items needed for a Thanksgiving meal. For decades, the Essex County Sheriff’s Office has been collecting turkeys, trimmings, and bulk items that we deliver to local churches, pantries, homeless shelters, and schools for Thanksgiving and the winter months.
