Essex County & Vicinity Building and Construction Trades Council Backs Sherrill

BLOOMFIELD, NJ (September 10, 2018) – Today the Essex County & Vicinity Building and Constructions Trades Council announced their endorsement for Mikie Sherrill, candidate for congress in New Jersey’s 11th congressional district citing her commitment to defending the rights for hard working men & women in the trades professions. 

“From her commitment in serving America as a decorated Navy helicopter pilot to her commitment as a candidate to stand up for the working families of New Jersey, there is no doubt that Mikie Sherrill is the right choice for these tumultuous times,” said Lino Santiago, Essex Building Trades Council President. “We are proud to put our full support behind her candidacy.” 

The Essex County & Vicinity Building and Construction Trades Council represents the interests of tens of thousands of hard working men and women in the trades through the twenty-two municipalities in Essex County, as well as the surrounding areas. In addition to President Lino Santiago, the council’s leadership also includes Vice-President Peter Gowing, Secretary/Treasurer Ray Woodall and Sergeant at Arms Philip Mancini.
