Essex Democratic Women Leaders Unite to Support Jenny Mundell for Mayor

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – A huge group of Elected Women of Essex County are endorsing Jenny Mundell for Bloomfield Mayor. Including state legislators, County Commissioners, Mayors, Council members and more, the endorsements represent a massive show of support for Mundell’s historic campaign to become the first woman to serve as Mayor of Bloomfield.

“I am inspired by and honored to stand beside so many women throughout Essex County‘s Democratic leadership in support of our campaign, which will make history when Bloomfield elects me, the first woman to serve as Bloomfield’s mayor,” said Councilwoman Mundell. “I’ve never been more focused and driven towards reaching Bloomfield voters with our positive message about moving our community forward with a real vision, and our team will be working as hard as we can over the next couple of weeks to bring this win home for Bloomfield and every woman who knows we deserve a seat at the table.”

This latest endorsement joins an esteemed, diverse list of female leaders that already includes the U.S. Representative Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11), Councilwoman Sarah Cruz, State Senate Majority Leader M. Teresa Ruiz (D-Newark), Assemblywoman Eliana Pintor Marin (D-Newark), Assemblywoman Shanique Speight (D-Newark), and numerous community leaders and residents. If elected, Councilwoman Mundell will become the first woman to serve as Mayor of Bloomfield.

About Jenny Mundell:

First appointed to the Township Council in 2017, Jenny Mundell has since won re-election three times and has worked tirelessly to serve the community. She has lived in Bloomfield for nearly 15 years along with her husband and son, and she works as a Vice President of Development at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. As Mayor, Jenny will work to continue the progress that has been made in the community while focusing on open, transparent government, balanced and responsible economic development, public safety and community involvement.
