Eustace, Advocates to Hold Press Conference on Bill Calling for 100% Renewable Energy in NJ by 2035

(TRENTON) – Assemblyman Tim Eustace (D-Bergen, Passaic) will hold an afternoon press conference in Trenton on Thursday on his renewable energy legislation.

Eustace will be joined by fellow legislators and environmental advocates from the organization Food and Water Watch.

The bill (A-1823) would direct the Board of Public Utilities to increase the required percentage for Class I renewable energy sources so that for energy year 2035 and thereafter, 100 percent of the electric power sold in this State by each electric power supplier and each basic generation service provider would be from Class I renewable energy sources.

The press conference will be held at 12 p.m. outside of the State House Annex in Trenton.
