Eustace to Hold Press Conference on New Clean Air, Water Legislation
(TRENTON) – Assembly Environment Committee Chair Timothy Eustace (D-Bergen, Passaic) will hold an afternoon press conference in the State House on Thursday, November 30 on newly proposed legislation concerning the public right to clean air and water.
Eustace will be joined by fellow legislators and environmental advocates including Maya van Rossum of the Delaware Riverkeeper Network and David Pringle, the NJ Campaign Director of Clean Water Action.
The proposed legislation would establish a constitutional right to clean air and water. Eustace has recently raised concerns about the plans to address groundwater contamination in Pompton Lakes caused by a nearby DuPont site.
The press conference will be held at 1 p.m. in Committee Room 9 on the 3rd Floor of the State House in Trenton.
