Eustace to Hold Press Conference Thursday on Chemours Proposed Study of Contaminated Groundwater in Pompton Lakes
(TRENTON) – Assembly Environment Committee Chairman Tim Eustace (D- Bergen, Passaic). will hold a press conference on Thursday afternoon to discuss the Chemours Company’s proposal to clean up the contaminated water in Pompton Lakes caused by a nearby DuPont site. The study was shared during a hearing held on Tuesday by the state Department of Environmental Protection.
Over 100 residents came out to share their concerns about the plan to address groundwater contamination on Tuesday. Eustace said the plan proposed is not enough and does not ease residents’ concerns.
