Fantasia & Inganamort Announce Intention to Seek Re-Election

All Three County Chairs Endorse “Effective, Tenacious” Incumbents

After quickly earning a reputation for fighting for a better New Jersey, Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia and Assemblyman Mike Inganamort today announced their intention to seek re-election in 2025.

All three Republican County Chairs in the District are supporting Fantasia and Inganamort, specifically citing their effective, tenacious advocacy for common sense conservative values, including Chairman Joe Labarbera of Sussex County, Chairwoman Laura Ali of Morris County, and Chairman Doug Steinhardt of Warren County.

“I am deeply committed to protecting the residents of northwest New Jersey”, said Fantasia, a former Sussex County Commissioner who serves on the Education, Commerce, Economic Development, & Agriculture, and Aging & Human Services committees. “That’s why I introduced a six-bill package to combat illegal immigration and sanctuary state policies, ensuring local law enforcement can work with federal authorities to protect our neighborhoods. I also proudly sponsored the Five-Farm Preservation Bill, now signed into law by the governor, to safeguard farmland and support the farmers who are the backbone of our rural economy.”

In just ten months in the Legislature, Fantasia has been a powerful voice for parents, fighting to ensure they have a say in what their children are taught in public schools. She has taken a firm stance against legislation which seeks to enshrine the availability of obscene and age-inappropriate materials to minors in school libraries and classrooms. Moreover, Fantasia has been a powerful advocate for the unborn, defending pregnancy resource centers from the aggressive overreach of the Murphy Administration. As the Republican Co-Chair of the New Jersey Angling, Hunting, and Conservation Caucus, she is a bold protector of gun owners’ rights and has consistently defended the rights of hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Senator Parker Space, who represents the 24th Legislative District in the Senate, announced his support, calling Fantasia and Inganamort “hardworking partners in the protection of northwest New Jersey.” Assembly Republican Leader John DiMaio is supporting the team, as are former Senator Steve Oroho and former Assemblyman Hal Wirths.

“My top priority is making sure the small towns, property taxpayers, and families we represent continue to have a strong voice in state government,” said Inganamort, a former Chester Township mayor who serves on the Oversight, Transportation, and Environment committees. “When the Murphy Administration hikes taxes, I speak out. When the majority party pushes onerous new mandates, I warn of the consequences. And when there’s an opportunity to get things done in a bipartisan way, I take it. I’m proud of my legislative record and eager to continue working on behalf of Northwest New Jersey’s small towns.”

So far in the Legislature, Inganamort has established himself as an effective advocate for children, introducing and moving critical legislation protecting young people from the scourges of domestic violence, human trafficking, and dangerous online content. His leadership also extends to addressing the needs of New Jersey’s most vulnerable populations; his bill expanding transportation options for seniors and disabled persons in rural counties was recently signed into law by the governor. As an active member of the Legislative Manufacturing Caucus, Inganamort has been a steadfast promoter of local manufacturing, working to bolster economic growth within the state. Furthermore, he was the first legislator to demand a decisive crackdown on allowances for public contracts with Iran’s energy sector, showcasing his commitment to both national security and principled governance.

Noting Fantasia and Inganamort’s strong support of law enforcement and volunteer first responders, Sheriff Mike Strada of Sussex County, Sheriff James Gannon of Morris County, and Sheriff Jim McDonald of Warren County are supporting Fantasia and Inganamort.  “As a career law enforcement officer, I know that Dawn and Mike have our backs,” said Strada.  “They have been supportive of my office from day one.”

Fantasia and Inganamort are excited by the growing working-class coalition of voters that propelled President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect Vance to victory on Tuesday, resulting in a dramatic shift in support towards the Republican ticket and a remarkable finish in New Jersey. Republicans also achieved decisive victories across Sussex, Morris, and Warren Counties. With President Trump in the White House, and Republican majorities soon to be certified in the House and Senate, it is crucial to unite and reclaim bold, conservative leadership at home in New Jersey. Like this year’s federal election, next year’s state elections are about reaffirming the values and principles that have long defined our nation’s strength while growing the Republican Party’s diverse working-class and traditional conservative coalition throughout New Jersey.

Building on last year’s coalition of mayors supporting Fantasia and Inganamort is an expanded list including Chester Borough Mayor Janet Hoven, Chester Township Mayor Tim Drag, Frankford Mayor Dave Silverthorne, Franklin Mayor John Sowden, Fredon Mayor Glenn Dietz, Green Township Mayor Peg Phillips, Hamburg Mayor Rich Krasnomowitz, Hampton Township Mayor Tim Dooley, Hardyston Mayor Frank Cicerale, Hopatcong Mayor Marie Galate, Independence Mayor Bob Giordano, Lafayette Mayor Alan Henderson, Montague Mayor George Zitone, Mount Olive Mayor Joe Nicastro, Netcong Mayor Elmer Still, Ogdensburg Mayor George Hutnick, Roxbury Mayor Jaki Albrecht, Sandyston Mayor George Harper, Stanhope Mayor Gene Wronko, Stillwater Mayor Lisa Chammings, Sussex Borough Mayor Robert Holowach, Vernon Mayor Anthony Rossi, Wantage Mayor Bill Gaechter, and Washington Township Mayor Matt Murello.
